I hope...

...they call me on a mission!

The boys got to be missionaries for an afternoon this week at a Primary Activity Day at church. During the week, they watched for the mail everyday, hoping to get a "call" and then were so excited when a letter came for each of them addressed to Elder Asay. They hid the letters under Jason's pillow and couldn't wait for dad to come home so they could open up their mail. Ben was called to Ecuador and Nathan to Japan. They were hoping for calls to Korea (where Uncle Judd is serving) or to Finland (where G'ma and G'pa Larson are serving), but they were excited when they heard about speaking Spanish and going where Uncle David and Michael had been.

Saturday was the big day, and they got all dressed up, looking so handsome and went to the church where they got nametags, and passports, and even traveled by "airplane" to get to their assignments. They learned all about different parts of the world (Belgium, Ecuador, Japan and Ukraine) and Ben came home telling us about the dogs in Ecuador and Nathan even wrote some Japanese words for us. I was a happy and grateful mom that the Primary leaders would go to all this trouble to help the kids look forward to serving missions someday.
