Spring Break- Zoo

Sometimes it feels like "if you've seen one zoo, you've seen 'em all."
But when our friends, the Galbraiths, invited us to go to a zoo
we'd never seen, we couldn't pass up the chance to fill up
one of our Spring Break days with a visit to the Oakland Zoo.

At first, I told the kids that the giraffes were my favorite.

But then we saw this boa constrictor that totally gave me the creeps.

And then this "unblemished lamb" posed perfectly for my picture.

Eventually, like they always do, the tigers impressed us all the most.

A memorable day...partly because I kept having to take our potty princess to the
bathroom in the public stalls of the zoo. There is not enough anti-bacterial
soap in the world. It was almost more traumatic than seeing the fruit bats...gross!
