Spring Break - Sunday

This picture captures our Sunday afternoon.

I love it for two reasons...

#1 - Some babies fall asleep wherever, but mine fall asleep in their beds.
So the fact that Emily is snuggled up to her dad is rare and appreciated. As if Sunday afternoons aren't sweet enough.

#2 - If you look closely you'll see that Jason is wrapped up in a "silkie" blanket
his Grandma Asay made for him. These blankets are keepsakes in his family and all the grandchildren have one. When we first got married, this newlywed bride put it in a bin of extra blankets in the storage shed. I had no idea how precious it was until Amber(sister-in-law) came over to watch a movie and wondered where Jason's Grandma blanket was. I learned my lesson and now the "silkie" has a permanent spot inside the house. To make the picture even sweeter, Emily, our monkey girl, is wrapped up in the monkey blanket her Grandma Dana gave to her. I guess everything comes full circle.

So now I love this picture for three reasons. I just realized that Jason is sitting there reading The New Testament...how could I not love that?

I love that picture. I spent months wishing Ian would fall asleep IN his bed, but now that we've got our boys trained, I wish they'd sometimes drift off in snuggly places like that! How sweet!

That is so cute. I really love this pictures. What a great daddy you are Jason. It is so fun to see you with your sweet little girl.

**Note to any cousins who see this picture and notice the blanket. Amber (ME) is willing to buy any of your blankets from you!! Mine is falling apart.**

Anyhow what a precious moment. Miss you all.
