Ben turned 7 last week. We celebrated "soccer style" and surprised Ben with a party at the park. We had been talking about having a family party for so long, that when he came to the park and saw his friends, the Taylors and JoAnn, he wasn't sure what to do. With pizza, root beer, cake and presents we couldn't have had a better celebration. Later that night he asked, "How is a surprise not a lie?" I love his sweetness and the twinkle in his eye.
(It's a fun coincidence that this year his jersey number is seven too.)
His gift of goals gave us the perfect chance for a soccer match....

The perfect end to the evening was a vertical rainbow...just for Ben.
