Aquarium

We went to Monterey with our friends the Francis' and were so happy
to spend the day with them....and the hundreds of other people who chose
to spend a rainy Saturday on a holiday weekend at the aquarium.

Nate loved petting the bat-rays, Ben loved the seahorses,
Emily loved the "touch pools" and Adam loved the jellyfish.

I loved this room where you could stand under the glass and watch

the waves crash overhead. (The boys' shirts were soaking wet from leaning
over the edge and trying to touch the bat-rays.)

Here's Melanie with James and Mia...Adam and Mia were born just 3 days apart.

One of the best parts of the trip was stopping for a late dinner at Chili's.
All the kids sat in one booth while Jason, Melanie and I sat in another
with the babies. We devoured the chips and queso and had
one of the best avocado burgers ever. The kids were great and
our waitress earned her tip taking care of all of us that night with a smile.
