Today is a day to go down in history. 4-26-2012....Emily started swimming!
She put her face in, kicked her legs, paddled her arms and made it all the way from the side of the pool to her teacher and then she went back again. It was amazing! Adam and I were cheering from the bench and I couldn't believe that we were watching as it happened. We are so proud of our girl! She is not afraid to try hard things and she NEVER gives up. Because we have a non-heated swimming pool in our backyard and because there is only one mom (who doesn't love cold water) watching 4 kids, I haven't been so great at getting in and helping her enjoy swimming. But this summer she needed to know how...and now she does!
This is what happens outside the water while Emily is getting wet.
The boys roll down the hills and/or Adam wears goggles while I try to
bribe him with Smarties to stay in the stroller a little longer.
