Here is picture-overload of Ben's Science Fair project. To be honest, I kind of get hives when it comes to these things. Trying to find the right balance between what the kids want to do, and what I can actually handle is always a bit tricky. But this year my good friend Jessica, who is an amazingly talented teacher/scientist/researcher/mom and writes a blog called www.nerbybaby.blogspot.com, helped us come up with this really fun idea.
"CAN A BANANA BLOW UP A BALLOON?"
I was happy for Ben and happy for me that he had an awesome project to present. And we both learned how a mashed banana puts off gases as it decomposes which can fill a small balloon and cause it to expand. Now my life is complete!
