Towards the end of school, I started to realize how much I would miss my one-on-one time with Adam when all the kids were home during the summer, so it was a perfect excuse to go out to lunch...just him and me. We shared the carnitas bowl and he felt like such a big kid drinking his water through a straw.
I can't get over how willing he is to try anything when it comes to food...he definitely doesn't get that from me. His favorites on this day were the black beans and the spicy corn. It wasn't a perfect bite without both. Usually when we are home for lunch, he sits at the table and I set his plate in front of him and then try to get other things done while he is busy eating. I know he is only two and won't remember this moment...but I feel myself getting sentimental and am so happy we shared this lunch without any distractions.
