When we first drove into Napa, all I saw were strip malls and grocery stores. I was disappointed to think it was not all grapes and vineyards. But the further we got into the valley, the more beautiful it became...and it was exactly how I had imagined it would be. We loved this rock wall that looked like it had been there for hundreds of years; with the winery looking down from the top of the hill and all the grape vines pruned back ready for Spring.
This castle had definitely not been there for hundreds of years, but it is a good way to get tourists interested in buying something. We didn't go on any tours or taste any samples, but it really was a perfect day!
I loved how each row was perfectly straight and how all the vines were imperfectly crooked. Everything was so green...we can't wait to go back in the fall to see the juicy grapes.
I am just overflowing with happiness! Thanks for doing the blog it is so fun to read about your adventures. Napa Valley was so pretty. I can't wait to see it when you go back. It was just beautiful. Everyone looks so cute.
