She thought the best part was having people sign her cast. If she was ever feeling shy about showing people her arm, I could just get out the Sharpie and she would point out a spot for their signature. When people asked her what happened she would always look at me and say, "Mommy." This made it sound like I was to blame for the broken arm when really she just wanted me to tell the story. For about a week after she got her cast off I actually thought she might not be right-handed anymore. She had gotten so good at doing things with her left hand.
Here she is getting ready to have her cast removed. She was all smiles until she realized the loud, buzzing machine was actually going to touch her arm.

What a trooper. Poor girl. That can't be fun.
How could a little cast be so incredibly adorable?! That first picture of her is so so cute.
I love how she always wanted you to tell the story. And have everyone sign the cast!
It seems to me that a little girl with two big brothers to adore (and follow) will have her fair share of bumps and scrapes and casts. I am so glad you shared pictures and memories of it!
She's too little to have a cast on but she looks so cute in it. I hope she wasn't too frightened by that wicked-looking blade! Glad she's good as new now!
I love that first picture she is adorable! I love that look she was giving.
Seriously Emily you are brave. Good job, I am glad you are all fixed up!
Jan - these are darling pictures for such a tramatic experience. It's good you captured it on the camera for all of us to see. Emily really is a "doll". Thanks for sharing!!! Love and hugs, Mom
