This year I was indulged with everything I wanted to do and it was a perfect day...not a perfect, do it everyday kind of day, but a perfect Labor Day. We headed into the city for a San Francisco adventure. We have started listening to books on tape in the car. Can I just say that books on tape have brought back the "JOY" in our joy-rides. There isn't any poking or picking when "The Boxcar Children are on the case." (That's our favorite series so far.)
Anyway, we went to the top of Coit Tower first...
(It is supposed to look like the end of a fire hose.)
Here are the kids waiting on the stairs for the elevator to take us down.
It was a PERFECT view of the "city by the bay".
We had lunch at Crissy Fields. The beach was crowded, but the sky was so blue and the Golden Gate Bridge ...with so many sailboats in the water...took our breath away like always.
Then we were off to Ghiradelli Square for Hot Fudge Sundaes.
I love visiting the city once in awhile and this day was by far one of my favorite visits with all of my favorite people...including the Boxcar Children.
Janet you've been busy! I am proud of you. I love all the pictures. It looks like a great Labor Day. I used to love reading boxcar children when I was a kid...great idea. Your family is adorable.
I really, really, really want to go into "the city" with you. It would be so much fun and maybe I'd get my Janet fix and it would tide me over for five years! What a choice adventure for you and Jason and the kids. P.S. Could those boys be any cuter? Call me in ten years and tell me how it's going with the girls. Wait...call me before then too. :o)
