Emily started to ride her bike without training wheels on Labor Day. I had been wanting something exciting to happen on this favorite holiday of mine, but it was kind of an average day. And then she decided she needed her training wheels to come off and big things happened. We practiced in the church parking lot and started out pretty slow. The funniest part of the story is that it wasn't until some cute little boys from the neighborhood came to the church with their dad, that she decided it was time to show off. She said, "Let's go ride by those boys." I told her we could do it as soon as she pedaled 3 times. And she took off. Now we know what motivates our girl :-)
