Update - June

This year we came into June swimming and came out of it the same way. But in between, I had the best birthday cake of my life, baseball season came to an end, the kids finished school and started a few summer camps, we said goodbye to favorite friends and started to appreciate even more the ones who are still here. We were home a lot, which means the house got messy and stayed that way, but I could be so bold to say it was the best month of the year.

When Holly asked what I wanted for my birthday, I knew this was the cake
of my dreams. And I can honestly say she made my dreams come true.

Some of my favorite people came over to help celebrate my birthday.
We ate chocolate and then went to a movie. It was exactly what I wanted
to do with so many of the friends who I love. Thanks everyone!

Emily's first dance recital was everything a four year old tap and ballet class
performance should be....precious and unforgettable. She knew that dance by
heart and never stopped smiling. She wants to play golf this year, but I hope I
can help her remember how much fun dance class was...for both of us.

Seems only fitting that the first picture taken with my new birthday
iPhone would be of a smiling Adam...and a little blurry too.

Baseball finally ended in June.
Here is Nate during his last game as a Yankee.

At the last day of school carnival the kids ALWAYS get their hair color-sprayed.
And then they get sno-cones and cotton candy and we never miss the fish pond.

In June, the boys finally got their hair cut.

Summer isn't complete without water-gun duels on the back patio.
Here they are pacing it out. And for the record, the goggles were their idea.

We were lucky enough to get a late night play-date with Ruby
while her mom and dad packed up their house. We miss her already!

The Francis' treated us all to twist cones and Diet Coke before they left for the
big houses of Idaho. We can't wait for them to show us around their new place.

Watch out July...here we come!
