11.11.11

The kids were out of school for Veteran's Day, so we decided to do
something memorable on November 11, 2011 and do ELEVEN things.

Here's the list...

#1 - eat ELEVEN doughnuts

#4 - put together ELEVEN puzzles

#5 - deliver ELEVEN flowers

#6 - make ELEVEN wishes

#7 - buy ELEVEN pair of socks

#8 - roast ELEVEN marshmallows

#9 - draw ELEVEN pictures

#11 - bake ELEVEN pizzas

Making our list, turned Friday into something more than just another gray, rainy, day-off-school. But I can't forget that there were at least ELEVEN warnings...reminders that we were having fun and making memories. So even though I had to finish the last polar bear puzzle by myself and Nate was too cool to be seen throwing pennies in a fountain with his little brothers and sister, I made an effort to be "present" during the day rather than just survive until bedtime...so it was all worth it. We can't wait to do TWELVE things next year.
