Christmas Story #3

This year the kids did "money" jobs so they could buy Christmas presents for each other. The whole process was fun for me...getting things done around the house, taking them shopping and seeing their excitement on Christmas morning. The best part was how generous they were. After working hard for extra money, I figured they might want to keep some of what they earned, but each of them spent enough to get just what they knew the other would love. Our kids don't have much of a concept of money....once they actually buried some in a ziploc baggie in the backyard...so this is a tradition we definitely want to continue.

Here's Ben opening the Double Nerf Sword Nate picked out.

Emily picked a Nerf sword for Nate. He'd had seen it at the store and been
talking about it for months. And Ben picked out the softest, pinkest
blanket for Emily. She loves it...actually we all love to wrap up in it.

P.S. The blue mouths in the pictures are from FunDip candy they had been eating
out of their stockings. The presents they chose for each other were the first ones
we opened after seeing what Santa brought. But that's another story.
